Award-winning, world’s-first all-electric compact tractor and new HST variant debut.

When it comes to low carbon technology, the combination of Farmtrac, manufacturer of the world’s first all-electric compact tractor, debuting at the Low Carbon Agriculture Show is a winning one.

Focused on technology and renewable energies, this event welcomes forward-thinking agronomists from all over the country with one goal in mind: find low carbon solutions to increase their business’s productivity while fighting climate change.

Therefore, on distributor Reesink Agriculture’s stand there could be no other than the FT25G – the only all-electric tractor on the market, revered for its eco-friendly lithium-ion battery and low noise and emissions-free operation – and if that weren’t enough, the new hydrostatic (HST) version will launch to the market for the first time.

Steven Haynes, sales manager at Reesink Agriculture, says: “With the growing industry focus on moving away from fossil fuels to low or zero-emission products we felt that the Low Carbon Agriculture Show was the ideal event to show off the world’s first commercially available compact tractor from Farmtrac. Also at this event, we will launch the new HST variant to the product line alongside the original FT25G.”

The FT25G offers the perfect clean energy option for farmers, landowners and industry operators looking to reduce their carbon footprint without compromising on productivity. Featuring a 72V lithium-ion battery and onboard charger, it can be charged from any domestic socket to 100% in eight hours for up to seven hours of operation.

It was these great features that won the FT25G the Innovation Award at SALTEX 2021 in the Sustainability and Environmental category, a big step forward on the path towards fully sustainable machinery in the industry and a big tick from grounds care experts judging the most innovative new technologies on the market.

The HST variant has all the same fantastic attributes of its predecessor with the added bonuses of a higher transmission and more attachment options that will create added value and versatility to an already solid all-rounder.

Speaking of attachments, Reesink Agriculture will also be bringing along the SICMA BH120 rotary tiller. With a working width of 1366mm, four curved blades per flange, single-speed gearbox and a side chain drive in oil bath, this tractor attachment is perfect for soil cultivation in lighter soil conditions and complements smaller compact tractors like the FT25G and the FT25G HST, elevating their performance for improved efficiency.

The Low Carbon Agriculture Show 2022 runs from 8-9 March at NAEC, Stoneleigh.
