The Brooke Lichfield Supporter group will be celebrating this year’s remembrance day by returning to the popular Your Horse Live event at Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire the weekend of Remembrance, the 10th and 11th of November.
The group will be attending the event for the 6th time to raise funds for the International Equine Welfare Charity.
Along with many festive delights there will be a strong war theme, to celebrate the remembrance weekend and the charities legacy. Dorothy Brooke rescued more than 5,000 British war horses from the streets of Cairo in 1934 and the charity continues today, working in more than 10 countries all over the globe to reach working horses, mules and donkeys in the world’s poorest communities.
The group hold regular fundraising events throughout the year, and are always looking for more supporters who share the common passion of making a difference. Group member Vicky Farmer says: “Our group is a mixed bunch with a wide age range, some horsey people and some not, but we all have a common interest in trying to make a difference”
If you are attending Your Horse Live on the 10th or the 11th do drop by to see the group in action and learn more about the work of the Brooke.
