The fourth Speedi-Beet HOYS Grade C qualifying competition took place today (Saturday 9th June 2012) at Bramham International Horse Trials in Wetherby, West Yorkshire and the competition attracted entries from over 80 eligible horse and rider combinations, all hoping to claim their Championship Final qualification.
The Speedi-Beet HOYS Grade C qualifier was heavily contested and the class saw riders gather from all over the country with the aim of qualifying for the Speedi-Beet HOYS Grade C Championship, which will be held at the Horse of the Year Show (HOYS) on Sunday 7th October 2012.
From the total number of entries, 16 combinations went clear in the first round to make it through to the final jump off. With only three direct qualifying places available, all of the remaining combinations were hoping to produce a double clear to put them in contention for Championship Final qualification.

The overall winner of the qualifier was 21 year-old Louise Saywell from Retford, Nottinghamshire and she won the class aboard Adorette W, owned by Michael Saywell. Louise produced her double clear in a time of only 46.51 seconds to clinch the win and secure her place in the Speedi-Beet HOYS Grade C Championship Final.
