FOR a wonderful day out – come along to the Peterborough Arena / East of England Showground for the fabulous Shire Horse Spring Show.

Held over three fantastic days from Friday March 16 – Sunday March 18, the show represents the largest gathering of Shire Horses in the UK and quite possibly the world.

Visitors travel from across the globe for this spectacular event, which this year features over 200 magnificent Shire horses – all expertly presented and dressed in their traditional glory.

Some of the stars of this year’s show will undoubtedly be three Waldburgh Shires – Comet, Harvey and Boy – who were part of the recent silver screen Spielberg blockbuster War Horse.

The shires will be competing in Saturday’s team class but will be resting in stables in Row M where show visitors are welcome to call along and meet them. The three-day show falls over Mother’s Day weekend, so why not treat your mum to a perfect present with a difference!
