Life after lockdown with SCT

As the British equestrian world wakes from its Covid-19 slumber, Stubbing Court Training Ltd (SCT) is once again able to offer its apprentices and their employers exceptional opportunities for personal and professional development.

SCT, the UK’s leading provider of apprentices to the equine industry, has hosted its acclaimed Masterclass Series – where apprentices and their employers are given exclusive chances to train with the world’s best riders and coaches – for nearly two decades. The first in the 2021 SCT Masterclasses will be with international showjumper and former SCT apprentice Joe Whitaker at Parklands EC, Sheffield, on 23 April.

Additional SCT Masterclasses will be revealed – and include British senior Olympic eventing team coach and former Badminton winner Chris Bartle, who is also filming educational videos for SCT to add to its already-extensive online coaching library. And Bartle, along other top figures from a range of areas of British equestrianism, will give presentations at the SCT Professional Development Seminar at Chatsworth, Derbyshire, on 5 October.

The SCT team works hard to encourage and inspire SCT apprentices to strive constantly to raise their standards and increase their knowledge, giving themselves the best possible opportunities to pursue successful and long-lasting careers in the horse industry. The SCT Apprentice of the Year Award is an opportunity for apprentices to demonstrate their commitment to this – and to be rewarded for their efforts. Insurance company Lycetts is giving a £250 prize to the 2021 SCT Apprentice of the Year, the final judging of which will take place during the Masterclass on 9 July.

SCT’s equine apprenticeships offer young people an outstanding chance to achieve the highest standards of horse care and horsemanship by learning from the best practitioners in the equestrian world. Their contacts are unparalleled, and the company offers exceptional levels of support to both apprentices and their employers, giving advice and training in all aspects of employment. Apprentices earn a wage while gaining valuable, respected qualifications and transferrable skills, giving them excellent employability.
