Iceni Native Pony announces that the 2016 show will be hosting the Gwyneth Championship on 29th & 30th July at Newton Hall Equestrian centre.
Now in its fifth year The Iceni Native Pony show is an established showing event with last year seeing over 400 entries and competitors coming from as far afield as Inverness and Dorset!
2016 looks to be an extra special year with Iceni hosting the Gwyneth Championships with a prize pot of over £5000 to be distributed across the classes. Also new this year is the introduction of 2017 NPS Qualifiers, along with qualifiers to Equifest, Think Pink, TSR and 15+. As usual the show will be holding a range of breed and mixed classes that will appeal to all: in-hand, ridden, home produced, working hunter and veteran. But most of all it should be a really fun day out!
The Iceni Native Pony is a showing organisation for Native Breeds in the East Anglian region. Originally set up five years ago, The Iceni Native Pony show is East Anglia’s leading Native show with the aim of bringing together those who share an appreciation and passion for the native pony breeds.
Show organiser Beverley Halls commented ‘we are delighted to be hosting the Gwyneth Championships this year at Iceni. We have steadily grown year on year and 2016 looks to be our most exciting year to date with a number of new qualifying classes being included into the schedule and a new, larger venue to host the event. We hope that the event will be well supported and attended especially with the prize money on offer.’
Schedules are currently being finalised and entries will be open at the beginning of April. Class and ring sponsorship is still available although going fast!
Email [email protected] if your business would like to support the event.
Iceni will also be holding a fun show on 29th May at Rosewood stud in Chippenham, entries are open now and a schedule can be found on www.horsedates.co.uk.
