A cheque for £2000 will be presented to Throstle Nest Riding for the Disabled Group on Wednesday 17th October at Throstle Nest Riding School, Fagley Lane Bradford, BD2 3NU.
The generous donation is being made by The Lodge of Hope, Province of Yorkshire, West Riding who are based in Manningham, Bradford.
John Stone, Charity Steward for the Lodge and Barry Hartley, Chairman of West Riding Masonic Charities Ltd will be representing the Masons.
Sarah Hamilton, Chairman of Throstle nest Riding for the Disabled Group and Jeannette Wheeler, Riding School Proprietor will receive the cheque on behalf of the group. The presentation will take place at around 10.30 while children from a local special school are enjoying their weekly riding lesson.
Over the past two years Throstle Nest Riding for the Disabled Group has raised in excess of £60,000 towards the cost of a new indoor arena which was opened earlier this year by Princess Ann.
“West Riding Masonic Charities have always been very generous to us,” said Sarah Hamilton. “We are continuously fund raising at Throstle Nest RDA Group to improve the facilities and the riding experience for our disabled riders.”
