THE 2012 JumpCross Eventer’s Challenge will be returning this summer, bigger and better than ever and with a prize fund of £8,500.
Thanks to the continued support and sponsorship from Lincoln, well known for their range of horse health care and leather care products, the event continues to go from strength to strength.
Attracting some of the leading names in the eventing world this innovative competition is aimed at riders competing at BE Intermediate level and above and will be held at the JumpCross headquarters at Grange Farm, Wittering near Peterborough on Tuesday, June 26, 2012.
Riders will take part in a two round competition over a course of fences ranging from 3ft 6in to 3ft 9in on cross country type terrain.
Top event rider and previous winner, Mark Kyle said: “JumpCross is a unique sport run across country with knock down fences. Each round will be timed and penalties added for knock-downs and refusals. At the end of the course there is also a joker fence which gives you a chance to reduce your score.”
Added Robin Dunlop of JumpCross: “We are delighted that so many riders have shown their support for the competition. JumpCross is growing at a pace around the UK and across into Europe and beyond.
“We are very pleased to have Battles, through the Lincoln brand, sponsoring the day and hope to make it a real celebration for the sport which is gaining popularity and a growing band of followers all the time.”
Anna Clarke of Battles commented: “We are proud to support the JumpCross Eventer’s Challenge and look forward to hosting many of our loyal customers on what promises to be a fantastic day.”
